This is an entry relating to [[David]]'s [[Denmark 88]] diary.

Today we tripped off to Trier, Germany's oldest town. Somebody decided that we would cut across country to get to the motorway. It wasn't me. We got lost but I didn't bother saying anything. The car has three back-seat drivers who don't listen to each other (one is behind the wheel).

When we finally got to the town we got lost. The was due to a bad map and three back-seat drivers. We eventually stumbled across the first thing we (more correctly [{Vagn]]) wanted to see and were then able to get the map orientated. The first thing we saw was a ruin of a Roman bath (100–200 AD)(or BC). Then a boring museum, then a cathedral (boring because I've seen so many) and then lunch. My Hawaiian pizza was great and it gave me the energy to climb up another ruin. This one was populated by heaps of screaming Canadian kids. Their parents are working on the army bases.

We came home a different way from the way we went, this time along the banks of the Mosel River and I was really happy when I found out it lengthened a 75 minute trip into 2½ hours. What's worse it was dark and we couldn't see anything anyway. I slept most of the way.

When we got home I wrote some postcards and read. This relaxed me quick enough.
