 In 1988 David spent 12 months in Denmark as an exchange student sponsored by the Århus Y's Men's Club Marselisborg. He kept a diary which starts on January 14, 1988 and completes on January 11, 1989. The Internet as we know it today didn't exist in 1988. My communication with home was through infrequent phone calls or very frequent letter writing. The dates of letters, both sent and received, and from/to whom can be seen on the Post Danmark timeline. Progress update (January 2009)Starting July 16, 2007 I began transcribing diary entries from written to typed form. As of January 08, 2009, a few days ahead of 20 years exactly, the typing of diary entries was completed. The next step after a break is to increase the links to images of the paper bits and pieces stuck in the diary (tickets, brochures etc.) and then the major work of scanning, uploading, geotagging and linking photos.
