This is an entry relating to [[David]]'s [[Denmark 88]] diary.

I think yesterday was the calm before the storm. Things stated to pick up a bit today.

Carmen visited me after school and we just sat around and talked. This was after I'd cleaned up my bedroom. It was in a bit of a mess. This happens because I get up in the morning with the minimum amount of time to spare.

I took Carmen to the bus stop and then came home to pack my things for the Youth Weekend in Fredericia. Flemming picked Hanne and I up at 5.30 pm and we drove to Fredericia. There was another girl in the car who I hadn't met before called Carina. She was one of many people I hadn't met before on that day.

We arrived at about 7.00 pm and registered. Ian was there when we arrived and we started laughing almost immediately, not finishing until about 2.30 am in the morning.

There were only a few people there that were at the last weekend but his time I met more YEEPs. Tracy, Lauri (from Canada) and David (from America) are staying in Denmark. Kim, Kyle and Chris (from Canada) are staying in Noray. I met Palle, the guy who sent me the not in Frederickshavn just over a month ago and lots of other interesting people. Charlotta and I had a long talk before we suddenly realised it was 2.30 am and we packed it in.

Flemming was one of the organisers and we would have lynched him if we hadn't been having so much fun when he said, "I know you YEEP students like to talk but there are others here too. Start mingling."

Just about everytime somebody new arrived we swapped name tags. Flemming wasn't too happy about this either but we enjoyed it. I ended up being called Tracy and Dorte.

Nisse news

from the diary page of December 01, 1988

I got the first present from my Nisse today. A packet of chewing gum.

The idea with a Nisse is you give presents or play pranks on the person you are Nisse for but they can't know it's you.

I'm Nisse for a girl called Annette H.
