Day #1 of our Scotland tour took us from home to Stirling.

We flew from London to Edinburgh and then drove the 20 or so minutes to Stirling. Being good citizens we decided to use the Park&Ride facility to get into town. Coming from the big city we were completely shocked at the 50p price for both of us return on the bus as well as the parking! Following lunch we trekked up the hill to Stirling Castle and around the town. Late in the afternoon we decided to walk to the top of the Wallace Monument, a tribute to William "Braveheart" Wallace. This was the first of many, many steep climbs throughout the trip. From the top of the monument we could see Kinkardine only a few miles away which we had driven through with Russell and Carol.
