This is an entry relating to [[David]]'s [[Denmark 88]] diary.
Saturday morning and I somehow managed to get up at 7 am after sleeping all night with no mattress or pillow. After breakfast we had a talk by some guy (I can't remember his name, but he was pretty high up [in the Y's Mens organisation]) about Y's Men's International in Denmark. It was decided to officially form a Youth Y's Men (this was the first weekend not restricted to YEEPs only. After lunch Theis and I played cricket (more accurate is the world "attempt" for two reasons. 1) Theis had never played before and 2) the wind was "strong"!!). It was great fun. Theis really enjoyed himself. The finer details about the youth group were organised after lunch.

We all went for a walk (struggle?) in the gale and when we returned Flemming had arrived. Three of us then played cricket until it was time to prepare for the wedding. This had to be the funniest thing I've seen since I arrived. Bente was the bride. I could understand enough Danish to follow what was happening.

There were groups of us to provide the entertainment. My group planed the newly weds game. Shameful I know but the best that we could think of. One group managed to perfectly show the difference between attitudes of Americans (namely Karen) and Danes (namely the population of Denmark). It involved being blindfolded and standing waiting for somebody to stick clothes-pegs on you. The other person, also blindfolded, had to find them. In Denmark physical contact is a part of life. Let's just say there were places Karen didn't want searched. A Danish girl would have been no problem. Karen was not at all happy simply because that sort of thing was embarassing to her. Anyway, we all had parts to play. I was a cousin, Flemming a friend etc. Theis was the most brilliant four year old I have ever see. He played the role perfectly.

A group of us went for a walk at about 11:30 pm. By the way, it snowed again today.
